BBC Three was the first British Broadcasting Corporation network to premiere a talk show fronted by Graham Norton. Although it was not the network of global premiere for The Graham Norton Effect, it was that show's original British home. Its ratings however, tended to be much lower than either BBC One or BBC Two, and, indeed, it ceased broadcasting in the mid-2010s. Unlike its fellow networks, it was a digital-only service, meaning that it required a digital television subscription for viewing.
